Passed 70-631 WSS Config

I passed 70-631 on Friday, 1 May 2009 and had passed 70-630 previously.  The Install / Config side is done – now on to the app-dev side.

Anyone recommend practice exams or other resources for 70-541, WSS Dev?

I’m planning on reading the rest of Pattison & Larson’s Inside WSS 3.0 book.  It’s frustrating that Transcender, MeasureUp, and SelfTest Software don’t have practice exams.

My WSS 3.0 Blog site looks fine under IE8

I just installed IE 8 tonight on my laptop, and BlumenthalIT.net (a WSS 3.0 site) looks fine.

Oddities of Blogging on WSS 3.0
  1. I can't get links I put in a post to open in a new window.  I edit my post and in the rich text editor field, edit the HTML, add a target tag to my anchor tag, and it disappears when I publish.
  2. Soapbox videos don't play in context, they just link back to MSN's video page, with the desired video playing on the right hand side, which kind of marginalizes it.  I think this is a SharePoint thing too, as I tried to edit the HTML, and SharePoint modified it when I saved the post.

Looks like I will have to check out the community extensions for blogging at some point - http://www.codeplex.com/CKS
